The Naked Mole-Rat

At ages far beyond their expected lifespan, naked mole-rats fail to exhibit any standard signs of physiological decline achieving lifespans of >35 years. This mammal is our proof-of-concept that age-related health decline is neither inexorable nor indispensable as a biological process.
